The Italian bank UniCredit and its German and Austrian subsidiaries agreed to pay a total of $1.3 billion on 16 April 2019 to settle investigations by multiple US agencies into violations of US sanctions on Iran, Burma, Cuba, Libya, Sudan and Syria.
