On 28 February 2013, JPMorgan agreed to pay the OCC and the Federal Reserve US$1.9 billion as part of a joint US$9.3 billion deal with 13 mortgage lenders over allegations that the financial institutions engaged in abusive and aggressive tactics to recover loans.
