Hong Kong – Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA)
The Hong Kong Monetary Authority is responsible for investigating money laundering, corruption, terrorism financing and market misconduct that occurs within the special administrative region of China. However, lawyers say that the authority, which has both civil and criminal powers, does so with a deep distrust for private practice lawyers and little regard for due process.
