Willkie Farr & Gallagher
Willkie Farr’s most well-known white-collar defence lawyer is Martin Weinstein. Weinstein, a seasoned trial lawyer, has conducted numerous non-public investigations on behalf of the boards of directors of Fortune 500 companies into allegations of misconduct.
He has represented a string of major companies on FCPA investigations and settlements, including Alcatel-Lucent, Daimler, Tyco, Barclays, Teva and Titan.
The firm recently snagged former acting criminal fraud section chief William Stellmach. While at the DOJ, Stellmach oversaw a large component of the Justice Department’s criminal white-collar enforcement, including all FCPA cases. At Willkie, Stellmach is a member of the white-collar criminal defence practice group, focusing his efforts on compliance counseling and internal investigations across industries.
The Washington office’s Theodore Whitehouse represents Israeli pharmaceutical company Teva in its FCPA investigation before US law enforcement. Whitehouse also has experience in cross-border antitrust investigations, with a focus on matters involving Japanese companies.
Jeffrey Clark and Robert Meyer are two other partners who advise on foreign bribery matters in DC.
