Morvillo is a white-collar boutique based in Washington, DC, and New York City. In DC, the primary FCPA practitioner is Richard Morvillo, a former branch chief of the SEC’s enforcement division.

Other DC-based partners with FCPA capabilities are Andy Morris and Dan Nathan, a recent hire who had spent 25 years as a senior enforcement official at the SEC, and other financial regulators.

The firm is often brought in by the larger law firms acting for corporate clients to represent individual employees.

Rich Morvillo represented an executive in connection with an FCPA investigation into ATM-manufacturer Diebold, which resolved foreign bribery charges in October 2013. He is also currently representing an individual in relation to the foreign bribery investigation into New York City-based hedge fund Och-Ziff, which is reportedly in negotiations to resolve FCPA charges tied to Libya’s sovereign wealth fund. Morvillo is also acting for a former vice chairman of the US financial services firm JPMorgan Chase, which is being investigated for the bank’s hiring practices in China.
