Richard Wiedis

Former Foreign Corrupt Practices Act prosecutor Richard Wiedis served as a trial attorney in the Justice Department’s criminal division fraud section for 15 years, between 1991 and 2006.

He became a senior trial attorney and led prosecutors and FBI agents on investigations into accounting and securities fraud, money-laundering and FCPA matters.

He left the DOJ to join MicroStrategy, a business intelligence and information technology company, as associate general counsel, where he advised on FCPA due diligence among other things. Wiedis worked at the company until 2015.
