La'Nese Clarke
La'Nese Clarke joined the criminal division’s FCPA unit as a trial attorney in September 2018. Clarke has been assigned on secondment to the Eastern District of Virginia as a special assistant US attorney since February.
Clarke was a summer legal intern in the tax division’s criminal section in 2017. Prior to this role, she was also a summer associate at Davis Polk & Wardwell in New York during the same year.
Clarke was a legal intern at the federal defender programme for the Northern District of Illinois in the summer of 2016. She was also a victim-witness assistance intern at the Montgomery County Commonwealth Attorney’s Office in 2014 where she supported victims and witnesses of crimes, including by preparing them for trial.
Clarke received her law degree at the University of Chicago Law School in 2018 and earned a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in 2015.
