Chief prosecutor says obscure Romanian law affecting anti-corruption fight

Laura Codruța Kövesi, the chief prosecutor at the National Anticorruption Directorate (DNA) in Romania, has said a law that allows Romanian prisoners to shave 30 days off their prison sentence if they write a scientific paper is affecting the country’s fight against corruption, according to reports.
