HSBC monitor: US managers “pushed back”
HSBC monitor Michael Cherkasky at Exiger in New York, in charge of supervising compliance reforms at HSBC following its 2012 money laundering and sanctions deferred prosecution agreement, has said that some of the bank’s senior managers in the US “pushed back” against findings of internal audits during reviews of its anti-money laundering compliance.
