Canada imposes C$90k fine for C$15 sanctions breach
Canada has fined oil Alberta-based Lee Specialities C$90,000 for shipping goods worth a total of C$15 to Iran. The company admitted to violating export controls when it tried to ship fifty synthetic rubber rings - worth around 30 Canadian cents each - which can be used by the oil and nuclear industries.
