Weissmann to leave fraud section for Russia investigations team

Andrew Weissmann, the chief of the DOJ’s criminal fraud section, has been tapped by former FBI Director Robert Mueller to assist with an investigation into Russia’s efforts to influence the 2016 election, according to two people familiar with the decision.
