SEC Makes First Whistleblower Award to Tipster Who Suffered Retaliation

The tipster will receive more than $600,000 for information that led to charges and a $2.2 million settlement with Albany, N.Y.-based hedge-fund advisory firm Paradigm Capital Management Inc., the SEC said.
