Real estate broker secures lenient sentence as “victim” of FCPA scheme

In sentencing Joo Hyun Bahn on 6 September to six months for violating the FCPA, a Manhattan federal judge described the real estate broker as a victim duped into paying a bribe by a con man. On the same day, the SEC announced a related settlement with the broker.
