Orthofix braces for new SEC settlement despite DPA dismissal

Orthofix has set aside US$4.6 million as it enters into settlement negotiations with the US Securities and Exchange Commission to resolve corruption allegations involving its Brazilian subsidiary. Meanwhile, the Justice Department on 29 July agreed to dismiss the company’s four-year-old FCPA deferred prosecution agreement.
