Medical device company settles FCPA accounting violations in Colombia, India

Medical device company Alere, which is finalising a merger with pharmaceutical business Abbott Laboratories, has agreed to pay US$13 million to resolve accounting fraud and books and records FCPA charges brought by the SEC.
