Lucent Technologies Inc. - Summary of Law Enforcement Action

As part of the settlement of a joint Department of Justice and SEC multi-year investigation into whether global communications provider Lucent Technologies Inc, the company acknowledged that, from at least 2000 to 2003, it spent millions of dollars on approximately 315 pre-sale and post-sale trips for Chinese government officials that included primarily sightseeing, entertainment and leisure.
