Key South African Businesses Imperiled by Bad Publicity, Net 1 UEPS Says

Though its stock price is surging, the South African financial services conglomerate Net 1 UEPS Technologies Inc. said Thursday that a corruption probe by U.S. authorities had hamstrung an insurance operation and threatened the company's ability to win South African government contracts.
