Judge mulls PDVSA restitution request

PDVSA told a Miami court that diplomatic ties between the US and Venezuela could be damaged if it is denied victim status because of purportedly pervasive corruption. “Isn’t that exactly why courts aren’t tasked with getting involved in foreign relationships?” said the federal judge.
