On December 8, 2008, Misao Hioki, the former general manager of his company‘s Industrial Engineered Products Department (IEP) in Tokyo, Japan, was charged in a two-count criminal information with one count of conspiracy to violate the Sherman Antitrust Act and one count of conspiracy to violate the anti-bribery provisions of the FCPA.
