Zuckerman Spaeder

The 40-year-old Washington-based white-collar defense boutique has 10 partners in DC who work on FCPA issues.

They include founding partner Bill Taylor, who successfully defended former IMF managing director Dominique Strauss-Kahn on sexual assault charges in 2011; and members of the firm’s next generation of leadership such as Caroline Judge Mehta, who also writes about motherhood for The Huffington Post.

Partner Jon Fetterolf advised food processing company Archer Daniels Midland in its 2013 FCPA settlement with the US Securities & Exchange Commission.

Dwight Bostwick, chairman of Zuckerman’s executive committee, currently represents a client in an FCPA investigation conducted by the DOJ and SEC arising out of the corruption scandal tied to Brazil’s state-controlled oil company Petrobras.

Zuckerman Spaeder has assisted companies in developing FCPA compliance programmes, and has handled suspension and debarment proceedings arising from violations of the FCPA.
