Michelle Ramos is a senior counsel at the SEC’s Foreign Corrupt Practices Act unit in Washington, DC.
Ramos earned her bachelors from Duke University in 1996, going straight on to Notre Dame Law School, where she was editor-in-chief of the law journal.
After a short stint as a judge’s clerk in Maryland, Ramos was hired by Fried Frank Harris, Shriver & Jacobson in 2000, where she remained for 10 years.
In 2010, Ramos moved to the SEC’s enforcement division. There, she was part of a team in 2012 that brought an insider trading case against a former executive of clothing line J Crew.
