Susmit Pushkar is a partner in the dispute resolution practice group and is based out of the Noida office. Susmit has diverse and rich experience in advising and representing clients across industries and laws. He regularly appears before trial courts, Tribunals, High Courts and the Supreme Court of India. He brings multi-dimensional experience in his areas of practice.

Susmit regularly advises multinational and domestic corporate houses in relation to investigations by enforcement agencies (eg, Central Bureau of Investigation, Serious Fraud Investigation Office, Enforcement Directorate) alleging bribery, money laundering, corporate fraud or other offences and other enforcement actions, including attachment of properties; representing clients through trial in criminal courts and appellate proceedings. He has advised clients in bribery proceedings arising out of public procurements and grants in the aviation, coal, defence, information technology and other sectors. He has advised clients on corporate fraud proceedings, including in respect of bank loans, embezzlement. He advises clients in the follow-on money laundering proceedings, including for attachment of the proceeds of crime. He assists clients in internal corporate investigations concerning issues pertaining to bribery, corporate fraud, harassment, etc. and advises on the attendant governance issues.

Susmit regularly handles high-stake and complex litigation often involving multiple stakeholders and regulatory bodies, and arbitrations. Over more than 15 years, he has represented clients across sectors and industries in their commercial, corporate, shareholders and other disputes before courts, domestic and international arbitral tribunals. He has represented clients in institutional arbitrations and proceedings for enforcement of foreign awards, court decrees. Susmit is part of the competition practice group of the firm and advises and represents clients on competition litigation, including for cartel, abuse of dominance.
