Soyoung Yang is a visiting legal fellow in the international trade practice team at Barnes & Thornburg LLP’s Washington, DC, office. She is an experienced public official and a director at the Korean Prime Minister’s Office. She is also a US attorney with over 18 years of experience in tariff investigation, audit and compliance and due diligence with a strong focus on cross-border business of multinational corporations. Soyoung is also an excellent negotiator and policy maker in the international affairs of the Korean government.
She is currently working as an adviser on multiple cases involving governmental agencies, such as US Customs and Border Protection, the Department of Commerce and the Office of the US Trade Representative. Soyoung also provides consultation with regard to Korean laws and regulation based upon her broad experience in the government.
