Pei Li Wong is a principal in BDO’s New York office and has more than 20 years’ professional experience in forensic accounting, public accounting and internal audit. Pei Li’s forensic engagements focus on internal investigations involving allegations of bribery and corruption, procurement and supply chain fraud, financial statement fraud, self-dealing and other corporate and employee misconduct. As the leader of BDO’s Asia forensic desk, she has substantial experience in securities litigation, white-collar crime and monitorships typically involving compliance and risk assessments with an international or cross-border aspect, often involving multiple jurisdictions, including those outside Asia. Pei Li also assists clients to monitor and assess compliance risks globally, identifying red flags indicative of threats to an organisation’s business operations and internal control structures. Pei Li regularly employs a variety of forensic techniques, analytical tools and technology when leading investigations, resulting in efficient and effective results for her clients.

Pei Li is a member of the management team assisting the special compliance coordinator appointed by the US Department of Commerce to coordinate, monitor, assess and report on the US export control compliance of Zhongxing Telecommunications Equipment Corporation and ZTE Kangxun Telecommunications Ltd.
