Paola Pugliese is a partner of the Compliance and Competition Law Team of Demarest Advogados. She has been assisting companies in designing and implementing efficient compliance programs for over 15 years. Paola has experience in several sectors of the Brazilian economy, including mining, aviation, pharmaceutical, medical devices, transportation, oil & gas, food & beverages, retail, meatpacking, jet fuel, among several others.Paola earned an LL.M. degree summa cum laude in Competition Law from the Albert Ludwig's Universität Freiburg in Breisgau, Germany, in 2004, and graduated in Law from the University of São Paulo in 1999. She lead the Competition/Antitrust and Regulatory practices of Lefosse Advogados in cooperation with Linklaters LLP from 2007 to 2013 and worked previously at Levy Salomão Advogados (2005-7) and Pinheiro Neto Advogados (1996-2005).Paola is singled out in Chambers Latin America 2014 by clients for her commercial awareness and specialist knowledge.
