Myungsuk Sean Choi is an attorney in the firm’s corporate investigations and white-collar defence, privacy, and anti-corruption and corporate compliance practice groups. He also regularly advises clients in the health industry including on issues related to pharma, medical devices, food and cosmetics.Mr Choi’s practice focuses on white-collar criminal defence, anti-corruption and regulatory compliance issues. He also has extensive experience advising clients on compliance, internal corporate audits, crisis management and digital evidence discovery. He also assists and advises clients in internal investigations to determine compliance with applicable laws and regulations (including issues regarding the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act).Mr Choi joined the firm after a distinguished 12-year career as a prosecutor. He was involved in many complex criminal investigations, including white-collar crime and intellectual property infringement cases. He represented the Korean government at the Working Group Conferences for the OECD Anti-Corruption Convention. In addition to his experience as a prosecutor, Mr Choi worked at several law firms serving as counsel for major domestic and foreign corporations in regulatory disputes and criminal cases. Currently, Mr Choi is a panel member of the National Arbitration Forum.He has presented at international anti-corruption conferences and is recognised as a leading individual in the area of white-collar defence in Chambers Asia-Pacific 2015.Mr Choi received his LLM from Harvard Law School in 1996 and his LLB from the Seoul National University College of Law in 1985. Mr Choi is admitted to the New York bar and the Korea bar.
