Mehboob (Mebs) Dossa is a partner in McGuireWoods’ London office. He specialises in advising multinationals on compliance with EU and UK data privacy and security laws, in particular compliance with GDPR and e-privacy regulations, cross-border data transfers, security incident management, handling of data subject access requests and processor arrangements, and addressing data privacy and security issues in supply chain and M&A transactions. Mebs holds the CIPP/E certification as a Certified Information Privacy Professional from the International Association of Privacy Professionals.

Mebs also specialises in advising multinationals, capital providers, independent sponsors, family offices, private equity portfolio companies and executives on a variety of matters, including M&A, co-investments, leveraged buyouts, joint ventures, restructuring, setting-up operations in the United Kingdom, structured equity investments, divestitures, commercial/supply chain transactions and corporate governance matters. He also advises emerging-growth and early-stage companies.

Mebs’s practice over the years has focused on UK-inbound work from various jurisdictions, in particular the United States and Canada, and has involved a diverse scope of industries, including healthcare, private equity, energy, pharmaceuticals, consumer goods and services, technology and financial services.
