Lucía Montes is specialised in international commercial arbitration; investment arbitration; and litigation in procedures to support and control arbitration, such as precautionary measures, annulment of awards, and recognition and enforcement of national and foreign awards. Represents and advises clients in particularly complex disputes from an economic perspective.
She has participated in more than 50 international commercial arbitrations before the ICC, LCIA, SCC, CIMA, CEA and CAM. She has also participated in ad hoc procedures, in disputes related to energy, infrastructure, concessions, construction, insurance, commercial operations and international sale of merchandise.
He has participated in several investment arbitrations against Latin American and European states before ICSID, SCC and ICC, in disputes related to construction, infrastructure, project financing and energy (including various procedures under the Energy Charter Treaty).
She has acted as arbitrator and as secretary of arbitration tribunals in complex arbitration proceedings.
Previously, she worked for a time in the Cuatrecasas office in Paris.
