Ilayda Gunes is a Senior Associate at Moroglu Arseven and a member of the firm’s public policy, regulatory compliance, and ethics practices, with a special focus on antitrust and white-collar irregularities. İlayda graduated from Koc University School of Law and received her LL.M. degree from the University of Chicago Law School. She has significant experience in assisting clients with internal and government investigations, the design and implementation of compliance programs, ethics policies, and good governance strategies. She also conducts due diligence and risk assessments and provides regular training sessions and workshops for effective corporate compliance and integrity.
On the antitrust front, she represents clients before the Turkish Competition Authority in merger control clearance and individual exemption filings, remedy proposals, as well as immunity and leniency applications, whistleblower claims, and settlement negotiations.
As a lecturer at Bahcesehir University and researcher at the University of Chicago, İlayda speaks and lectures on public policy and good government reforms; and often publishes on topical issues of policy regulations, antitrust, and ethics. Currently, she is co-authoring a chapter in a book on public policy, law, and governance to be published by the New School for Social Research.
