Diego Sierra is a partner of Von Wobeser y Sierra where he leads the anti-corruption and compliance, and bankruptcy and restructuring practices, in parallel with his litigation and arbitration practices. He is part of the ESG (environmental, social and governance) practice group. Diego has advised Fortune 500 companies in matters of anti-corruption, due diligence, litigation, arbitration and bankruptcy, and has participated in some of the most relevant anti-corruption and Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) investigations of recent years in Mexico. He has successfully developed and executed highly complex cross-border litigation and arbitration strategies. And he has been involved in recent critical bankruptcy proceedings in the country. Diego is licensed to practise law in both Mexico and New York, where he worked as international visiting attorney of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP. He graduated from the Escuela Libre de Derecho with honours and he was President of the Student Association. He has a Master of Laws (LLM) and a Certificate in Business Administration from the School of Law and the Kellogg School of Management of Northwestern University. He is president of the Anti-corruption Commission of the International Chamber of Commerce Mexico (ICC Mexico). Diego serves as a board member of the Mexican Bar Association; co-coordinator of the Bankruptcy Law Commission of the Mexican Bar Association (Barra Mexicana, Colegio de Abogados, BMA); coordinator of the Anti-corruption Diploma of the ICC Mexico and the Universidad Panamericana; and officer of the Anti-Corruption Committee for Latin America of the International Bar Association (IBA).
