Cheryl Risell is an associate in the white-collar defence and investigations group at Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft LLP. She advises clients in a broad range of criminal, civil and administrative proceedings and litigation. Her past experience includes commercial disputes, securities litigation and administrative law, as well as disputes arising under the Controlled Substances Act and federal securities regulations. In those roles, Cheryl has advised a variety of clients, including financial services firms, investment funds, large corporations and individual executives.
Cheryl received her undergraduate degree in international affairs and political science from Florida State University and a masters degree in politics and government of the European Union from the London School of Economics. She completed the GDL and LPC at the University of Law in London and also received a master’s of science degree in law, business and management. She is admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in England and Wales, to the State Bar of California and as a special legal consultant in the District of Columbia.
