Senior Associate, Moussas & Partners
Charalampos specializes in capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, banking and finance, civil and commercial litigation and corporate law. As of 2014 he also serves as Assistant Counsel to the Hellenic Deposit and Investment Guarantee Fund (TEKE) and from this position has enriched his knowledge on the regulatory regime in banking sector.
Drawing on his banking and corporate experience, Charalampos has recently advised Black Sea Trade and Development Bank with respect to a 10,000,000 Euro Loan Agreement entered into with Aegean Baltic Bank along with an Assignment Agreement to further secure financing under the Loan Agreement.
In the past he has been involved in tender offers for the acquisition, squeeze-out and delisting of Greek listed companies and has participated in the real estate privatization process by the Hellenic Republic Asset Development Fund (HRADF).
He is currently advising and representing reputable EU based car manufacturers (VW AG, AUDI AG, SEAT SA) in relation to the diesel engines’ emission matter and monitors all aspects of this case (of civil, administrative and criminal nature) as it unfolds in Greece. This is a landmark and demanding contentious case, a significant feature of which is the simultaneous handling of numerous lawsuits brought by individual diesel vehicle owners against car manufacturers before Greek Courts.
Charalampos has also built a strong practice in EPC related transactional work with a focus on EPC financing and shareholders agreements, as reflected in his recent work for major plants in the Middle East and Ghana and has been involved in international commercial arbitration proceedings conducted under the ICC Rules in the context of EPC related transactions.
Charalampos regularly contributes in litigation and arbitration legal publications (e.g. exclusive chapter on Arbitration in Greece of Lexology Navigator and exclusive chapter on Litigation in Greece of Chambers & Partners).
