Ariel A Neuman

Ariel Neuman is a trial lawyer who focuses on white-collar criminal defence and complex civil litigation. He currently represents corporate executives, doctors, and medical and health facilities under investigation or indictment by federal and state authorities, as well as an international corporation named in a case brought by the SEC, and a national corporation seeking to protect its trade secrets. As part of his practice, Mr Neuman also conducts internal investigations for multinational and local corporations.Before joining Bird Marella in 2014, he served as an Assistant United States Attorney in Los Angeles for almost seven years. At the United States Attorney’s Office, Mr Neuman was the lead attorney on numerous high-profile investigations and prosecutions. He was responsible for prosecuting cases involving health-care fraud, real estate fraud, financial institution fraud, securities fraud, art fraud, tax evasion, counterfeit currency, computer crimes, and other offenses. In addition, Mr Neuman prosecuted over 200 defendants for violating federal racketeering (RICO) laws, placing him among the most experienced RICO prosecutors in the country now in private practice. He was also responsible for the domestic portion of several international investigations, and investigations conducted by the German and Canadian governments. As the lead trial and appellate attorney on most of these cases, he won convictions in numerous jury trials and briefed and argued multiple cases in the Court of Appeals.Mr Neuman was named ‘Prosecutor of the Year’ by the Federal Law Enforcement Officers’ Association, and received numerous commendations and awards for his service.
