Anna Kirkpatrick is a senior associate in Clifford Chance’s litigation and dispute resolution practice. Anna specialises in ESG, business and human rights, international law and international arbitration. She advises international organisations, governments and corporates on ESG considerations and human rights and the implementation of the soft law standards, such as the UNGP, for a wide range of businesses. Anna also represents clients in addressing allegations of complicity; assessing the legal and non-legal issues arising out of human rights impacts; and advising on specific human rights issues such as labour protections for workers, the provision of security in high-risk jurisdictions and modern slavery. She acts for corporates in ESG-related litigation, dealing with multi-claimant disputes and complaints connected with allegations of involvement with environmental and human rights harms, and climate change litigation. She is a trustee of Lawyers against Poverty and the external communications officer of the IBA Business and Human Rights Committee.
