Andrea’s practice is focused on dispute resolution, corporate and transactional work (including data protection), in the construction, infrastructure, transportation, energy and financial sectors. She represents domestic and international clients in civil, commercial and administrative litigation, before local and federal courts, including constitutional proceedings (amparo). She also acts as counsel and arbitrator (president of the tribunal, sole arbitrator and emergency arbitrator), both under the UNCITRAL Rules and under the Rules of the major arbitral institutions such as the ICC International Court of Arbitration, the International Centre for Dispute Resolution (ICDR), the Arbitration Center of Mexico (CAM) and the National Chamber of Commerce in Mexico City (CANACO).
She is the director of Arbitration and Mediation Commission of CANACO and member of the Board of the Mexican Chapter of the Spanish Club of Arbitration (Club Español del Arbitraje). She is regional representative for Latin America of the Young International Arbitration Group (YIAG) of the London Court of International Arbitration. She is a professor of law at Universidad Panamericana’s School of Law, where she teaches Alternative Dispute Resolution.
