Update: DOJ settlement ends last major US mortgage-backed securities investigation into RBS

Lawyers from WilmerHale and Davis Polk helped the Royal Bank of Scotland enter into an agreement in principle to pay $4.9 billion to settle DOJ allegations that it mis-sold mortgage-backed securities before the 2008 financial crisis.
