Nuclear energy official pleads guilty in connection with foreign bribery scheme
Maryland resident Vadim Mikerin, a Russian government official accused of helping US companies pay over US$2 million in bribes to win contracts from Russia’s state-owned nuclear energy business, has pleaded guilty to conspiring to commit money laundering, the US Department of Justice said in a statement on 31 August.
