Nigerian government launches strategy to tackle state corruption
Following a directive from Nigeria’s president, Muhammadu Buhari, all federal bodies will have to pay revenue into a single account held by the country’s treasury. According to Nigerian news reports, the directive, which aims to bring more transparency to the financial operations of state agencies, comes into effect on 15 September.
