Kenya arrests 27 on corruption charges days after ambassadors warn of travel ban
Kenya’s Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) arrested 27 people on “corruption-related charges” on 16 November, including three managing directors at three state-controlled companies: Silas Simiyu at energy company Geothermal Development Company, Evans Ngibuini at water company National Water Conservation and Pipeline, and Charles Tanui at oil company Kenya Pipeline.
