FCA: separating enforcement division would "lessen our ability to be an effective regulator"
The Financial Conduct Authority on Tuesday rejected UK politicians’ calls for the Treasury to review the possibility of combining its enforcement division with the Prudential Regulatory Authority’s to form a single independent agency in light of regulatory failings following the collapse of HBOS bank.
