Brazil's CGU keeps ministerial status
Brazilan President Dilma Rousseff has said that the country's main anti-corruption authority, the Office of the Comptroller General (CGU), will keep its ministerial status. Her decision, announced on 2 October, came after widespread criticism of leaked plans to remove the CGU's ministerial status and subsume it into another government department.
