Alstom sentenced one year on
On 13 November, a federal judge in Connecticut sentenced French engineering company Alstom to pay US$772 million, according to reports. The fine, which is the largest US foreign bribery penalty in history, was officially agreed upon at the end of last year when the company pleaded guilty to books and records and internal controls violations of the FCPA.
