Alcatel-Lucent pays US$10 million to settle Costa Rican bribery case
Telecoms equipment maker Alcatel-Lucent has paid state-run telecommunications company the Costa Rican Electricity Institute US$10 million to settle allegations that it bribed officials in the country to win a network upgrade contract in 2001 worth hundreds of millions of dollars.
