Global Investigations Review - The law and practice of international investigations

Kingsley Napley

Kingsley Napley conducts internal investigations on behalf of corporates and has expertise in advising companies caught up in criminal and regulatory investigations where there is a suspicion of fraud. We also act for employees and individuals in internal investigations.  We cover the full spectrum of investigations, with particular emphasis on complex, serious fraud and financial crime, although we also conduct investigations related to other areas of misconduct.  Our internal investigations team include practitioners who specialise in dispute resolution, regulatory, criminal, and employment law, data protection, reputation management, compliance, and issues related business continuity and commercial sensitivity. Ultimately, if private prosecution is the correct remedy, we also have a dedicated team that specialises in this area.  We are able to assemble a cross department team at short notice to advise on aspects that may arise, including whether the company should make a self-report or a suspicious activity report. Specific examples of current and recent corporate crime work include: Serious Fraud Office (SFO) investigations, bribery and corruption and Anti-Money Laundering advice and internal  investigations, international investigations and representing victims.

Respected by law enforcement agencies on both sides of the Atlantic, we have acted for many domestic and international clients, including sovereign wealth funds, financial institutions, companies and charities.

As many of the investigations we undertake are multi-jurisdictional, we are able to team up with international specialists to instruct the best advisors in each country.
